ZAC Lifetime Structural Guarantee

The Lifetime Structural Guarantee covers major structural defects caused by defective design, workmanship, or materials in the essential load-bearing parts of the home. We'll fix it at our cost if a major structural issue ever makes the home unsafe, unstable, or unfit for living.

This includes:

• Concrete slabs, piers, and footings.
• Wall and roof framing (timber or steel).
• Load-bearing structural brickwork.

Our Lifetime Structural Guarantee is designed to cover our craftsmanship and build principles. It does not apply to situations that are outside of our control or which require routine maintenance - including:

• Alterations or renovations made after handover.
• Normal settling, shrinkage, or expected wear and tear.
• Lack of maintenance (e.g. drainage, plumbing upkeep, or annual termite inspections).
• Retaining walls or landscaping.
• Damage from events beyond our control (e.g. storms, floods, fire, or neighbouring works).
• Cosmetic finishes (e.g. paint, tiles, plaster, fittings).

Your home is an asset, and keeping your guarantee valid is a simple matter of routine care. To maintain your Lifetime Structural Guarantee, you simply need to:

• Maintain your home as outlined in your Handover Kit (including managing drainage and vegetation).
• Keep clear records of all maintenance and inspections.
• Let us know immediately if you notice a potential structural issue.

The Lifetime Structural Guarantee is exclusive to the original owner(s) and lasts for the lifetime of their ownership. It gives protection and reassurance that goes above and beyond the minimum industry standard, confirming every ZAC home is built to endure.
